Brass Impact Heads are Obsolete

Brass impact heads now are cast overseas. During the Ham Lake Fire of 2007 several brass impact arms and housings broke because of repeated use that stressed the castings. Also, impact mechanisms exposed to the blown debris during the Fire jammed in a locked position (not able to rotate). Brass impact heads can only operate when horizontal to the ground.

The Windfighter and R33 Rotator were designed to replace brass impact heads because of performance, uniformity, long wear life (radial bearing surfaces are out of the water stream, no reciprocating parts or springs to fail.) and ease of cleaning & repair. Riser vibration & torque are also eliminated, putting less stress on screwed connections, fittings & risers.
